SURAT: A police sub-assessor (PSI) and a head constable were suspended by Surat area administrator of police NirliptRai on Tuesday for not taking activities against racketeers working in Ondach town. The cops were given a rundown of racketeers working together in the town on September 19, however no move was made.
PSI P B Patelia and head constable AshwinMagan were suspended after a preparatory request discovered them blameworthy of carelessness. The request was requested by Rai two days prior when the villagers from Ondach made a portrayal to him. They had claimed that regardless of giving names of the individual racketeers, police did not make any move them. Sarpanch of the town JyotsanaKodga went to Mahuva police headquarters on September 19 with villagers and made a portrayal. She presented a reminder to the cops there with names of seven peddlers. Since no move was made till September 24, they moved toward Rai.
"The villagers disclosed to me that they influenced portrayal at the police to station thrice. It was a decent activity by the sarpanch, yet no move was made by the PSI and the head constable. Subsequently, I have suspended them," Rai said.
